Do I need to have experience to join yoga?

My class is taught in a way that multiple variations are offered for each pose to allow you to find the right pose for your body. The one requirement is that you must be able to get down and sit on the ground. Always consult your doctor before embarking on any new fitness or yoga program, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition or have not exercised in a long time.

What should I expect in class?

Yoga Snack Session: The class begins with a warm welcome and self-awareness check-in to gauge where our bodies were starting from. We then ease into a series of gentle seated and reclining poses, allowing us to stretch our bodies. The session concludes with a soothing guided relaxation to leave you feeling relaxed and recharged.

Roll & Stretch: A delightful fusion of self-myofascial release using balls and soothing yin yoga to melt away tension and tightness.

What do I wear?

Wear clothing that you feel comfortable to move and stretch in. Have socks and a sweater handy in case you get cold during the final relaxation portion of class.

What do I need to have or bring with me?

All Classes: A yoga mat or surface that is sturdy so that you can stretch out on without slipping.

Additional "nice to have" props would be:

  • Blanket or large bath towel

  • 2 Yoga Blocks or some hard cover books
