Wellness Toolbox: A Curated Collection for Yogi Practitioners and Everyday Athletes

Whether you're a seasoned yoga practitioner, everyday athlete, or simply on the lookout to revamp your wellness toolbox or find the perfect wellness gift for a friend, you're in the right place. I've curated a collection of my personal go-to products—ones that have seamlessly integrated into my weekly routine.

Yoga Mat

Manduka yoga mats have secured a permanent spot in my 10+ year practice with the Pro Mat reigning as my all-time favorite due to its cushion and durability. My Manduka Pro Mat which I purchased over a decade ago still looks brand-new despite enduring weekly sessions!

For those in search of a less expensive option, the Manduka Eko Mat is my top recommendation. My Manduka Eko Mat is light weight and portable while still providing a nice amount of cushion for a comfortable practice. This mat is my go-to for travel due to it’s ability to folding up nicely into luggage.

Yoga Props

Bolster

A yoga bolster can not only enhance comfort during a yoga practice which promotes relaxation but also can help deepen your stretch. When looking for a yoga bolster, I choose one that has a lot of support as it will soften over time. My favorite yoga bolster is the Max Support Deluxe Rectangular Cotton Yoga Bolster from Yoga Accessories.

Blocks

Yoga blocks are a great inexpensive tool for adding stability and versatility to your yoga practice. Offering support for a range of poses, these blocks not only allow you to customize the height by a simple rotation but can also contribute to the deepening of yoga poses.

When exploring options for yoga blocks, you’ll see choices like foam, cork or wood. Personally, I find the foam blocks to be more versatile due to their soft texture. While cork or wood blocks offer sturdiness, the 4” foam yoga block from Yoga Accessories remains my preferred choice.

Yoga Strap

Yoga straps are an inexpensive and versatile tool that provide you a wider range of motion while stretching. In shopping for a yoga strap, I suggest getting a longer strap such as the 10' D-Ring Buckle Cotton Yoga Strap from Yoga Accessories or Amazon.

Recovery Products

Roll Model® Therapy Balls

The Roll Model® Therapy Balls are designed for trigger point, pressure point, and self myofascial release. I use these balls to help with post workout soreness or use these before yoga to help facilitate a deeper stretch. If you haven’t used these therapy balls before I recommend getting the Roll Model® Starter Kit since it has all of the options you will need.

Oura Ring

Sleep is an important part of recovery and feeling your best. One of the tools I use to monitor my sleep and recovery is the Oura Ring. I’ve used the Oura ring since 2020 to provide insight into data that has helped me adjust habits to allow me to feel my best. I recommend ordering the Oura ring directly from their website. Hatch Alarm Clock

The Hatch Restore Alarm Clock was a game-changer for me to have a more peaceful morning. Hatch wakes you up gradually with light and soothing sounds, making my wake-up feel more natural and less jarring. I highly recommend it for a more relaxed and mindful start to your day. The Hatch Restore Alarm Clock can be purchased on the Hatch website or Amazon.

Ultima Replenisher Electrolytes

Electrolytes replenish essential minerals lost through sweat, helping you maintain peak performance and recover faster. I like using electrolytes during my workouts to help with hydration. My favorite flavors of Ultima replenisher electrolytes are the lemonade and raspberry flavors. You can purchase Ultima Replenisher electrolytes on their website, Amazon, Whole Foods Market and Fresh Thyme.
